Chemicals Vs Fields

Who's in control?

When we begin to study Acupuncture or Qi Gong as a healing modality we begin from a preconceived notion of how things in the medical field work. Western Medicine is chemical based, in essence it breaks the body down into chemical reactions, this is why we use other chemicals to change those reactions. This is a very simplified break down, but at this point we're only looking at the fundamental premise, the underlying seed that everything else is built upon. I believe trying to use a chemical based approach to understand Qi Gong is like trying to measure time by using a thermometer. We may be able to see that the day gets warmer and the night gets colder which will give us some idea, but we'll never know the exact time. To understand Qi Gong, Acupuncture, or Reiki we need to understand fields. We may need to explore the idea that although the body communicates through chemicals, this may not be the overriding controller. We may be like children on Christmas day, playing with the box and ignoring the real gift.

Below is a video by Lynne McTaggart, it is quite long, but for those intrepid explorers out there it may help to open up some of the concepts mentioned.
